On Location at Asia Meeting and Incentive Travel Exchange 2015
The second annual Asia Meeting and Incentive Travel Exchange (produced by Questex Media, the parent company of International Meetings Review) wrapped up this week in partnership with SACEOS (Singapore Association of Convention and Exhibition Organizers and Suppliers), where 37 global buyers came to Asia to meet with more than 25 suppliers for 1:1 meetings.
The 37 MICE buyers – each an end decision maker for producing the right business that aligned with participating suppliers – were from Germany, Russia, United Kingdom, United States, Thailand, India, Denmark and the Netherlands among other destinations. They were flown to Thailand for a pre-fam in which the TCEB (Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau) showcased their destination with city trips to both Chiang-Mai and Bangkok.
Following the Thailand portion of the evening, all buyers were flown to Singapore for pre-fam of the country, site visits and overnights at Marina Bay Sands and the Grand Hyatt Singapore. The 1:1 meetings took place at the newly renovated meeting space of the Grand Hyatt.
Suppliers represented high-end meeting and incentive caliber properties, DMCs and CVBs throughout the region including The Singapore Resort and Spa Sentosa, The Mira Hong Kong, Starwood Asia Pacific Hotels and Resorts, Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau, Regal Hotels International, Shanghai CTS MICE Co. LTD, Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort and Dorsett Hospitality International to name a few.
