Curtain Draws at India International Security Expo2017 Awards for Excellence in Display Presented
After drawing a large number of business visitors from India and abroad, the premier specialized G2B and B2B event of India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), the 20th India International Security Expo concluded with the Award Distribution Ceremony at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, today.
Shri Sanjay Kumar, DG, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India presented the Awards for Excellence in display to the winners in different categories. In PSU and Government segment, Ordinance Factory Board was felicitated with the Gold Medal, Bharat Electronic Ltd. received the Silver and Central Workshop & Store, BSF (Tekanpur) won the Bronze Medal. Nice Infotech, Tonbo Imaging Systems and Making Things Easier were commended with the Gold , Silver and Bronze medals respectively in the shell scheme category. In the Bare space segment, Global Infocom honored with the Gold Medal, Pinoptees India Pvt. Ltd. received the Silver Medal while SRG Techno Pvt. Ltd won the Bronze Medal.
The ceremony was attended by Shri Vivek Bharadwaj, Joint Secretary (PM),MHA, Shri A.K. Vashist, General Manager (Security), ITPO along with other senior officers from the Ministry of Home Affairs, ITPO,CISF and law enforcement agencies.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sanjay Kumar, DG, NDRF complimented ITPO and its associates for holding IISE 2017 with improved logistics. He emphasized that such exhibitions are imperatives to develop the capabilities of security agencies to deal with potential danger to the nation as well as neutralize the threats and retain an edge over adversaries. Emphasizing need to have a skilled task force to handle in case of natural disaster, he informed that NDRF has been making extensive efforts to train the community especially the children and youth at college and school levels.
Stressing the need to create skilled task force and updation with the latest technologies and equipment in the security and safety agencies , Shri Vivek Bhardwaj, Joint Secretary (PM), MHA assured all possible support to the India security industry. He said that there is need to have a collective voice of the industry as they have to play a vital role in safeguarding the nation. He commended ITPO for holding the expo every year.
In his welcome address, Shri A.K, Vashist, General Manager,ITPO acknowledged continued support of all the associates including the Ministry of Home Affairs, CISF, BPR&D, SPGI, NDAM, CRPF, BSF, ITBP, SSB, Delhi Police, SPG, DFS, DMRC, NSIC, SAIL, Assam Rifles and FICCI, he indicated that the legacy of the expo would continue despite the ongoing redevelopment project of Pragati Maidan as world class Integrated Exhibition –cum Convention Centre(IECC). He informed the next edition of the Expo would be organized on the same dates next year i.e. October 5- 7, 2018 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
