IMTEX 2021 & Tooltech 2021 rescheduled to June 2021
27 June 2020: In wake of the prevailing uncertainty that the world is facing due to coronavirus outbreak, the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA), have announced the dates of their flagship event, IMTEX & Tooltech 2021 exhibition which will take place on June 17-23, 2021 at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) in Bengaluru.
According to the organizers, after the restart post lockdown, economy and industry is getting back to recovery mode, trying to overcome challenges in demand, supply chain, safety norms, liquidity issues, etc. It is also recognised that most international exhibitors at IMTEX are finding it challenging to participate in full measure in current scenario in light of the travel restrictions and health and safety issues.
In a statement to the media, IMTMA officials said, shifting the show to June 2021 will give room for machine tool and manufacturing industries to recover, economic situation to improve, and allow exhibitors to participate with a stronger resolve with new products and innovative solutions at IMTEX 2021 and enhance business opportunities for customers and the value chain.
IMTMA was formed in 1946, the year before India got its independence, when 19 machine tool manufacturers joined hands to form an Association. IMTMA’s initiatives range from government advocacy to industry, export promotion, trade fairs and events, training and seminars, technology missions, publication of various industry and technical writings, structuring of regional councils and development of clusters.
