ITPO To Hold ‘India Show’ in ‘WHITE CITY’ Turkmenistan
Fulfilling aspirations of Indo-Turkmen business fraternity, India Trade Promotion Organisation(ITPO) is organizing its first exclusive exhibition, India Show (August 14-17, 2018) at prestigious CCIT, Chandybil Avenue in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan which is globally famed as the ‘White City”.
Being organized under MAI assistance by the Department of Commerce, Govt. of India with support of the Embassy of India in Turkmenistan and Chamber of Commerce & Industry Turkmenistan, the event comprises of initial three day multi-brands exhibition while the last day has been earmarked for an exclusive networking event, business forum and a seminar to strengthen bi-lateral trade relations between both the countries.
Significantly, the event is being organized in the backdrop of India’s growing bilateral trade relations with Turkmenistan after the visit the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi in Turkmenistan in July 2015 which was further followed by the visit of H.E. Mr Rashid Meredov, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan during August 13-15, 2017. He was accompanied by a high power Turkmen delegation in the sixth session of the India-Turkmenistan Inter-Governmental Commission (IGC) on trade, economic and science & technology cooperation held on August 14, 2017 wherein the proposal for holding exclusive India Show in Turkmenistan was accepted.
Aiming to promote ‘Brand India’,this multi-product show aims to provide support and business opportunities to Indian companies including SMEs in Turkmen as well as neighboring CIS markets. It offers fresh opportunities to the business community as it is an unexplored destination for Indians. There is win- win position for both exporters and importers It is an ideal G2B, B2B and B2C event to establish new contacts, business alliances, joint ventures and meeting with potential clients. The event will help in researching market of Turkmenistan, an emerging economy among the CIS countries which is shifting its focus from Russia, Iran and China due to several reasons.
India Show Turkmenistan is an ideal event to step up sales, launch new products and expand company’s network of business contacts in the developing CIS market. ITPO intends to organize participation of around 100 Indian companies in an appropriate of 2000 sq. mtr. area approx. ITPO and Indian Embassy in Turkmenistan have been extending all possible support for the participating companies.
The display profiled covers a wide range of products, services and technologies including Software for e-Governances, IT- Park, Satellite Technologies, Iron & Steel Products, Construction Machines, Equipments & Building Material, Gas & Petro products, Automobile & Accessories, Machinery, Electronic and Electrical Items, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Equipment, AYUSH Items, Medical Tourism, Technologies Equipment for Non-Conventional Energy, Technologies for Preserving Food & Fruits Items, Chemicals, Food Processing Industries, Agri-Industries, Tea, Coffee, Fisheries & other Marine Products, Footwear & Leather Industry, Rubber, Education, Khadi, Textiles, Apparels, Shoes & Fashion accessories& Cosmetics, Handlooms & Handicrafts, Sports Goods, Entertainment & Film Industry and a list-of other export oriented products. Efforts are being made to extend invitations to the business delegations not only from Turkmenistan and other CIS countries. Besides, the Union of Turkmenistan Entrepreneur and Chamber of Commerce have also assured support in terms of forwarding invitation to their valued members for the fair.
Due to historical and traditional affinity of India with Turkmenistan, the local entrepreneurs and the general public have tremendous interest in India. Besides, every year a large number of Turkmen citizens visit India for their medical treatment.
