Nominations invited for 2019 Hall of Leaders & Pacesetters Awards
The Events Industry Council, Washington, USA, has invited nominations for 2019 Hall of Leaders and Pacesetters Awards. The Celebration will take place on September 10, 2019 during IMEX America in Las Vegas.
Hall of Leaders: The Hall of Leaders Award is the premier recognition programme in the meetings, conventions, exhibitions, hospitality and travel industry. Considered as the industry’s “lifetime achievement award, it recognises outstanding leaders who have undoubtedly shaped the industry.
It may be noted that on October 16, 2018, the Events Industry Council inducted its 2018 class of Hall of Leaders recipients. They are:

Pacesetter Awards: As a natural extension of the Hall of Leaders, the Events Industry Council had introduced the ‘Pacesetter Awards’ in 2012 to salute emerging leaders and industry supporters who exhibit individual excellence based on innovation, impact, vision, leadership, influence, collaboration, courage, perseverance and other achievements.
The Pacesetter 2018 awardees are:

The Events Industry Council’s (EIC) 30+ member organisations, including International Association of Exhibitions & Events (IAEE) represent over 103,500 individuals and 19,500 firms and properties involved in the events industry. The four signature programs — Sustainability, Industry Insights, Knowledge, Leadership — represent the key initiatives, assets, services and products for the Events Industry Council.
The Events Industry Council’s origin emanates from the informal meetings of four organizations concerned with issues about “group business.” On February 3, 1949, the organizations met to formally organize as the Convention Liaison Committee (CLC), recognizing the tripartite relationship among the convention official, the hotel executive and the convention bureau representative.
EIC advances the events industry and the professionals who lead the business of meetings. It delivers best in class credentials and thinking on the issues, opportunities and trends facing the meetings and events industry.
