Showcasing Prowess of Indian Security Industry : India International Security Expo 2018
Featuring prowess of the Indian security and safety industry, a specialized event of India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), the 21st edition of India International Security Expo (IISE) will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs, Govt. of India, Shri Hansraj Gangaram Ahir on October 5, 2018 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The event is being organized with the support of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India while the co-organizers are CISF and BPR&D. Significantly, this is the only security expo in South- Asia region which enjoys the support of all States Police Forces, NDMA, CRPF, BSF, ITPB, SSB, Delhi Police, SPG and DFS, ONGC, Delhi Metro, NDMC, NSIC, SAIL, NBCC, Shapoorji Pallonji, Larsen & Toubro and Amity University, Noida.
IISE (October 5-7, 2018) covers almost all aspects of security and safety as these are vital components to protect and promote the core values of democracy, secularism, freedom and unity as enshrined in our constitution. The event also showcases the new initiatives of the industry to promote manufacturing of the security equipment and gadgets under the ‘Make in India’ campaign. The Expo provides business opportunities in terms of indigenization, by way of joint ventures and collaborative transfer of technologies that would boost the domestic industry. Featuring a wide range of the latest products, services and innovations of homeland security, cross –spectrum technology based security capabilities, the event highlights fresh avenues for development of cyber security and skilled task force.
The concurrent seminars, delegation visits from within the country and overseas and on-the-spot demonstrations on Women Safety , ‘ Selfie Points’ and ‘Dog Shows’ will be among the added attractions. The topics for the concurrent seminars include: “Issues of Procurement for Special Forces’, ‘Security Challenges in the North- East-Role of Police Modernization’, ‘Trends in Modern Police Communications’, ‘Success Stories of Telangana Police’, ‘Challenges of Modernization in the LWE’, ‘Process of public procurement – by MSME & GEM’, ‘Cyber Security & Forensic Science – Issues & Solutions’ and ‘Protecting our Borders – Role of Technology’.
IISE 2018 focuses on new range of gadgets and systems in the fields of surveillance, explosive detection and disposal, fire fighting, access control, radio communications, training equipment, and home and automotive security sectors. With around 80 leading companies are displaying a wide range of products on Homeland Security, Fire Safety, Traffic Management, Industrial Safety, Disaster Management and Information Security. To make the event more meaningful, ITPO has extended invitations to the Home Ministers, Secretaries and senior representatives from the State governments and law enforcement agencies to visit the fair. Apart from a large number of security professionals, the fair will be visited by the senior representatives from Paramilitary Forces, State Police Forces, Security agencies, Embassies, MNCs, Banks, PSUs and Residents Welfare Associations .
