Taiwan lifts restrictions on MICE events to boost post-epidemic domestic demand
28 June 2020: The Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) jointly announced that Taiwan has lifted domestic restrictions on the MICE industry. From June to August 2020, over 50 events are being scheduled including shows, concerts, and activities. Chen Cheng-Chi, Director General of the Bureau of Foreign Trade, said that the government has supported the MICE industry through a COVID-19 bailout plan. Given that our borders are still under control, digital transformation of the industry is imperative.
